2-Dimensional measurement of the solvent intermolecular response in solvation

Abstract

The solvent intermolecular response in solvation is studied by 2-D polarizability response spectroscopy. The isotropic and anisotropic solvent response spectra of Coumarin 153 in CH3CN, measured during solvation, reveal comparable translational vs. orientational dynamics.
