Abstract

We have been developing the radiation therapy applications based on the Geant4 Monte Carlo toolkit. In spite of the Geant4 toolkit was designed to be effectively extended to another fields, it is not simple problem to model the modern radiation systems as it is due to their time-dependency in mechanical structures and irradiation schemes. Taking into account the time-dependent features of modern radiation therapy systems, we will introduce our approach to model several radiation modalities from a simple Brachytherapy to a proton therapy system by utilizing the Geant4 Monte Carlo toolkit.
