Abstract

A compact coplanar waveguide fed monopole ultra-wideband antenna having a frequency-notch function is proposed. The notched frequency band can be achieved by including the two L-shape striplines in the bottom of the substrate. The designed antenna has a notch band of 5.10-6.25 GHz while 10 dB return loss is ranged from 3.04 to 12.0 GHz. The measured return loss, radiation patterns, and gains are presented.
