Abstract

hNQO1 is a promising target for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Here, we developed a coumarin-naphthalimide hybrid (1) as a dual emissive fluorescent probe that enhances the emission through hNQO1-mediated cleavage of its trimethyl lockquinone moiety. Probe 1 can be used for a real-time monitoring of hNQO1 activity in living cells.
