Abstract

A new bidirectional optical cross-connect system with tunable fiber Bragg gratings is proposed. It utilizes active bidirectional routers composed of serially connected PZT-actuated fiber Bragg gratings. It is an all-fiber and polarization-insensitive bidirectional optical cross-connect system.
