A new framework for designing business models in digital ecosystem

Abstract

In this paper, we develop a new framework for designing business models that facilitate to explore new business opportunities in digital ecosystem. We analyze the key growth drivers of healthy digital ecosystem. The key drivers lead us to develop a new framework of the business model: offering focus and customer focus. We implement the proposed business model framework for identifying the growth opportunities in portal, telematics, and mobile finance industry. We also present a hierarchical business model framework for identifying new digital convergence areas.
