Abstract
This paper presents a navel design of the printed hyperpolar-transformed Sierpinski carpet (HSC) antenna. The design parameter and performance of the proposed monopole antenna are investigated and show that HSC geometry gives more freedom for wideband antenna design such as flare angle, scale factor, iteration number, etc. The simulated and measured results are well agreed and we can get octave bandwidth matching performance. The measured results of the return loss, radiation pattern, and antenna gain are also given.
