Abstract

A comparative study of absolute optical frequency measurements between a traditional frequency synthesis chain and a femtosecond frequency comb system was carried out. The preliminary value of the absolute frequency of the f component for the He-Ne laser international standard at 633 nm was found to be 473 612 353 604.8 ± 1.2 kHz.
