All-optical five-functional logic generator by using semiconductor optical amplifiers

Abstract

All-optical five-functional logic generator is demonstrated by using the cross gain modulation (XGM) characteristics of four semiconductor optical amplifiers (SOAs). All-optical five-functional logic generator demonstrated for simultaneous operation of OR, NOR, AND, NOT and XNOR gates at 10 Gbps by using VPI simulation tool.
