Abstract

This letter slightly improves the upper bound i Thangaraj et al. for the capacity of the amplitude-constraine scalar Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channel. Thi improvement makes the upper bound within 0.002 bits of th capacity for (Eb/N0) ≤ 2.5 dB Index.
