Abstract
The causes of accumulation of inadvertent interchange energy are investigated using two area analysis. This analysis is based on vect(decomposition and is illustrated on the two dimensional (ε, Ii) plane. Accumulation of inadvertent interchange energy I 1 and the decomposed vector components caused by areas i and r, (ε i;Iii) and (ε r;, Iir), are investigated through the computer simulation of a six-area system. The selects participation in time error correction and the effect of introducing frequency offset are considered. It is shown that the present two-step correction scheme of time error and inadvertent interchange energy can be modified to reduce unnecessary regulation.
