Abstract

The number of bridges has increased and the level of information required by bridge owners has became high, however, the number of personnel who is in charge of managing bridge stocks and the budget to keep bridges above a critical condition level have not been strengthened much. As the demand on a bridge management has increases as an efficient tool to help bridge owners in terms of the asset management of infra-structures, more elaborate decision making processes has been requested and developed. Presently, Load Carrying Capacity is using that allowable stress design concept and strength design concept is applied to evaluate the bridge performance. But these methods generally are difficult to reflect the damage and deterioration of material, structural performance by bridge life and uncertainty of environmental factors. Also established DB about uncertainty of dimension and material property is lacked, therefor existing evaluation method cannot calculate the performance deterioration according to elapsed time and uncertainty with gap of theoretical value and real structure is existed. So in this study, safety examination and dynamic behavior analysis of PSC bridge is carried out based on material property, structural performance and structural analysis. And smart diagnosis methodology will be studied to compute the dynamic behavior of PC girder bridge associated with the change of tension force in tendons.
