Analysis of smartphone-based location information

Abstract

Location information is an important factor for figuring out user's behavior in digital forensic investigations. Smartphone-based map applications keep record user's data about location information such as timestamp, GPS information for searched locations. In this paper, we will analyze data generated by famous map applications-Google map, Daum map, Naver map and extract necessary information to assist digital forensic investigations.
