Approximate method for determining the stability of the film-casting process

Abstract

A simple, approximate method for determining the stability of the film casting process based on the concept of traveling throughput waves is developed. The method was applied to the film casting process of Anturkar and Co. The stability curves obtained using the approximate method agree well with the exact ones.
