Abstract
An analytical expression of the two dimensional (2D) vibrational response function in calculating the spectra of various 2D coherent vibrational spectroscopy is presented. The anharmonicity in the system potential energy and the fluctuation in the system-bath coupling energy were reflected in the 2D-vibrational spectroscopy (VS). The expression is derived from the well-defined microscopic Hamiltonian of the matter system in the framework of quantum mechanics. Over the conventional theory, the expression obtains more accurate and detailed information about energy level-dependent vibrational relaxation and interactions that are non-Markovian.
