There is a residue gas which contains CH4 unconverted in LNG reformer and H2 unrefined in PSA, when H2 station produces H2 through LNG reformer. To operate H2 station efficiently, we have researched combustion catalysts to generate heat using residue gas as fuel. Catalytic combustion was performed by Mn-substituted La, Ba, Sr-hexaaluminate. Activity test was carried under two conditions: the first condition (1% CH4, 20% O2 in N2 balance) and the second one containing H2 (1% CH4, 6% H2, and 20% O2 in N2 balance). Total flow rate was 1,000cc/m and GHSV was 120,000 cc/h.g-cat. By adding H2 in fuel, conversion of methane shifted to low temperature. For all the catalysts tested, BaMnA 11O19 showed good CH4 conversion through adding H2 in fuel.
