Abstract

For these properties, the THz band has a great potential for various useful applications, which includes security and medical imaging, spectroscopy, sensors, product quality inspection, and broadband communication (Kim and Rieh 2012b; Rieh et al. 2011). Some of these have already been widely investigated, while others are still waiting for more practical deployment. In order to implement systems for these applications, the development of reliable and high-performance THz components.
