Cooperative beamforming for inter-cell interference mitigation

Abstract

In this paper, we consider a cooperative beam-forming problem for MISO interference networks, modeling the downlink capacity that is significantly limited by inter-cell interference (ICI). It is yet a critical issue to improve the performance of cell-edge users who suffer from strong ICI. We propose a cooperative beamforming scheme that combines resource allocation and beam selection to deal with practical interference coordination.
