Abstract

This paper deals with the development of the simulation models of the Jeju-Haenam HVDC system and its dynamic performance study in order to verify the control characteristics of the HVDC system. Also, the model development requirement and criteria are discussed. Guidelines for developing large-scale simulation models for detailed electromagnetic studies are presented according to the results of the modeling project.
