Development of web-based simulator for supply chain management

Abstract

Designing and planning of supply chain network (SCN) is one of the most important decisions to be made in dynamic business environment. Under today's dynamic circumstances, SCN is too complex to allow realistic models to be evaluated analytically. For this reason, we have developed a new simulator. This simulator provides most of the features needed to build a simulation model and can be accessed through the internet. Java Server Page is used to allow users to run this simulator through the internet, and MS-SQL is incorporated to save the computational results and input data.
