Electrically driven nanobeam photonic crystal laser

We report room-temperature lasing in a photonic crystal nanobeam cavity. The electrical current pulse is injected through a central post placed underneath the nanobeam. Lasing action is observed at a wavelength of ~1470 nm with a threshold current of 9A.
