Abstract

We present field emission properties of CNT line emitters fabricated by a unique method. Two dimensional electron beam sheet was achieved by the line emitters. The CNT line emitters exhibited high emission current density over 10.7 A/cm 2 at the electric field of 2.8 V/μm and excellent emission stability during 24 hr. Moreover, emission pattern showed a very low spreading angle of emitted electrons at the phosphor coated ITO glass. The high emission performance was attributed to the well-focused local electric field and high density of emission sites.
