Abstract

We are developing a preamplifier-shaper Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) with a Dongbu-Anam 0.18 μ process at the Korea University Elementary Particle Physics laboratory. The first prototype was produced in 2006 and was tested It immediately showed several serious problems and its initial performance is discussed in detail here. The design of the new improved second prototype has been completed and is ready to be submitted. The expected performance of the second prototype, based on simulations, is discussed in detail.
