Abstract
A lithium metal rechargeable battery system has been developed using a compacted lithium powder electrode. Lithium powders were made by the droplet emulsion technique (DET). The cycle life of a compacted lithium powder cell was more than double and the internal resistance was lower than those of a lithium foil cell, respectively. Also, the cycling efficiency of a compacted lithium powder cell was considerably improved in comparison with a lithium foil cell.
