Influence of small-scale reactors on power system dynamics

Abstract

This paper deals with the power system with a small-scale reactor for multi-purpose regional energy systems. Recently, distributed generations are increased due to social and environmental demands. The small-scale reactor system which is a small nuclear distributed generation produces electricity and heat like as a co-generation system. This paper focused on the dynamic analysis of the small-scale reactor system. The electromagnetic characteristics of the overall power distribution system is analyzed with the small-scale reactor system. For the simulation, the emergency protection system and the model of loads are developed by the PSCAD/EMTDC.
