Lagrangian formulation of coset conformal field theory

Abstract

Wess-Zumino-Witten actions defined on symmetric spaces are proposed as the actions of coset conformal field theories. The equivalence of our model and the path integral formulation of coset conformal field theories based on the gauged WZW action is shown.
