MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 transcoder using object-based motion vector clustering

Abstract

An MPEG-2 to MPEG-4 transducer using object-based motion vector clustering (OMVC) method was presented. Simulation was performed to evaluate the overall efficiency of the proposed transcoder using the OMVC method. The results showed that the proposed transcoder using OMVC method outperforms the existing method with better visual quality.
