N2 - Distributed mobility management (DMM) is a crucial issue in tactical environments and its performance needs to be thoroughly investigated. In this paper, we implement a proxy mobile IPv6 (PMIPv6)-based DMM testbed and evaluate its performance under different path loss models. Evaluation results show that the handover performance is highly affected by the tactical environmental characteristics and thus it should be carefully considered to improve the handover performance.
