Optical clock repetition-rate multiplier with pulsewidth control and noise reduction

Abstract

The optical clock repetition-rate multiplier from 10 GHz up to 50 GHz with output pulsewidth control and reduction of relaxation oscillation noise was demonstrated. As such, the multiplier output pulsewidth was variable from 6.4 ps to 14 ps and the wavelength was tunable from 1530 to 1560 nm.
