Abstract

The growth of percolation networks of V2O5 nanowires was analyzed using atomic force microscope. V2O5 nanowires were prepared by ammonium (meta)vanadate along with acidic ion exchange resin in de-ionized water at room temperature. It was observed that lengths of V 2O5 nanowires increased at a speed of 0.13 μm/day at an early stage of growth and 0.03 μm/day on average up to 3 months. The results show an abrupt increase of conductance after 7 h of aging time.
