Phase noise analysis of double-heterodyne TV tuner for 8VSB digital terrestrial broadcasting

Abstract

This paper describes a phase noise analysis of the double-mixing TV tuner for 8VSB DTV system. It is proposed accurate simulation method of the phase noise of the frequency synthesizers used in 8VSB DTV system. Also, we analyzed the performance of the DTV tuner in conjunction with the FPLL, in terms of symbol error rate.
