Prediction of automobile seat comfort

Abstract

The systematic computational framework for comfort evaluation of automobile seat is addressed. In this context, the fuzzy rule-based model was introduced to evaluate comfort ranking with ergonomic input parameters of model. The resulting comfort rate of proposed evaluation model showed the same trend as the one of conventional evaluation schemes. The present model was proved to be robust in terms of selection of input data because human's evaluation on comfort rate is rather subjective and not even clear. In this sense, the robust methodology for evaluating automobile seat comfort associated with ergonomic data will be given and compared with conventional schemes.
