Abstract

KT-64 and MD-64 are hardware-optimized 64-bit block ciphers which are based on data-dependent operations. They provide high performance in FPGA implementation, which are suitable for lowresource devices such as RFID tags and wireless sensor network. In this paper, we propose cryptanalytic results on KT-64 and MD-64. Based on a related-key amplified boomerang attack, our attacks can recover the secret key of KT-64 and MD-64, respectively. These works are the first cryptanalytic results on KT-64 and MD-64.
