Abstract
The addition of a single nucleation agent of TiO2 is more effective in the crystallization of alkali and alkaline-earth glasses than the combined nucleation agents of TiO2 plus ZrO2, in terms of decreasing the crystallization peak temperatures. However, in terms of the glassy phase remaining in the glass-ceramics, there is no notable difference between the two kinds of nucleation agents.
