Rubbing-induced polar ordering in nylon-11

Abstract

Rubber-induced polar ordering in nylon-11 was discussed. Sum-frequency (SE) vibrational spectroscopy was used. Results showed that SF vibrational spectroscopy induces ferroelectric domains with a layer thickness ≥1 μm in nylon-11 films which have nylon chains along the rubbing direction.
