Abstract
Patients with spinal injury, acute or chronic, often show the morphological changes of spinal cord, vertebra or intervertebral discs. However the morphological measurements on such abnormalities are currently conduced manually by clinicians. In this preliminary study the feasibility of semiautomatic designation and segmentation of spinal cord and vertebra in magnetic resonance images is investigated.
