Abstract
This paper describes the effects of graft modification on space charge of low density polyethylene. For this, monomers such as maleic anhydride and acrylates were grafted onto polyethylene chains. It was found that both type and amount of space charge in polyethylene could be altered by grafting proper monomers onto the polyethylene chains. It was also found that electrical conduction in polyethylene can be also suppressed in grafted polyethylenes.
