Abstract

We introduce streptavidin-functionalized (SAF) hydrogel microparticles for highly flexible biomolecule detection. Immobilized streptavidin in hydrogel microparticles enable the rapid probe-set modification by virtue of streptavidin-biotin interaction with biotinylated probes, which provide highly customizable multiplex biomolecule detection. We demonstrate the high assay capability of SAF hydrogel microparticles by performing multiplex detection of two DNA targets.
