1H NMR-75As NQR cross relaxation study of the ferroelastic phase in TIH2AsO4

Abstract

We have investigated the ferroelastic phase of TIH2AsO4 by means of 1H NMR. The spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) exhibited a prominent thermal hysteresis at a Larmor frequency where 1H NMR-75As NQR cross relaxation takes place, which was attributed to the microscopic environments sensitively reflected by the electric-field gradient, probed by the 1H NMR-75As NQR cross relaxation.
