Abstract

Thermal and Mn diffusion behaviors of CoNbZr based spin valves with nano-oxide layers were analyzed. The chemical profiles and states in the spin valves after annealing were analyzed by Auger electron spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. It was found that the degree of MR ratio attenuation was higher for a spin valve with NOL that went through longer oxidation.
