Abstract

A study was performed on transition from island formation to pseudormorphic growth in the submonolayer CdSe/ZnSe multilayer system. The photoluminescence measurements and transmission electron microscopic technique were used for the purpose. A significant difference in Cd distribution in the layer plane between the two geometries for the same Cd coverage was observed.
