N2 - Bis-1,4-(p-diarylaminostyryl)-2,5-dicyanobenzene derivatives composed of interlinked structural units producing localized but interacting electronic excitations were prepared, and their one- and two-photon absorption and emission properties, were studied by using the fluorescence emission in nanosecond pulses and Z-scan in femtosecond pulses, respectively. Their two-photon values affected by the central amino group and two-photon absorption-induced accumulative thermal effect for dye solution.
