Abstract

Elimination from trans-2-chloro-3-fluoro-2,3-dihydrobenzofuran induced by NaNH 2-NaO-t-Bu in THF results in syn dehydrofluorination to the exclusion of β-aryl-activated syn dehydrochlorination.
